Our Beliefs
Vision Statement (what we want to become): Guided by God’s Spirit and Grace, we are a community of disciples growing in faith, hope and love in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement (what we are going to do): Called to fulfill the Great Commission, St. Matthew’s welcomes all to faith in Jesus Christ, nurtures our faith journey, equips us to serve others, and sends us into the world to make a difference in Jesus’ name.
Values (who we want to be): We want to be people who grow in our Spiritual fruitfulness, which is shown through the Fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control.
Church Constitution
St. Matthew’s constitution was approved in January 2017. To bring the constitution up-to-date with amendments made to the Model Constitution for Congregations at the 2019 ELCA Churchwide Assembly, the Church Council unanimously approved recommending updates and amendments to the constitution.
